New Motorcycle Learner Permit holders are now required to attend and pass the IBT Training Course (Initial Basic Training). New rules came into effect on 19th January 2013 for the four categories of Motorcycle licences - AM, A1, A2 & A.

Direct Access Courses

Category AM – motorcycles not exceeding 50cc (eg. mopeds)

Category A1 – Motorcyles Not Exceeding 125cc (Power Not Exceeding 11kw)

• (Minimum age 18)

• IBT Training required: Modules 1, 3 & 5 (total 18 hours)
